Think bubbly and enthusiastic, with a big smile, and you have Sarah.

An eternal optimist and hard worker, Sarah believes anything is possible if we give it a try and work hard at it.
Originally from Jersey (where the cows come from), she choose Southland as the place she wanted to live out of the whole wide World, and now works, lives and plays there.

With a background of being a Biodiversity Ranger for 14 years with the Department of Conservation, Sarah has an wide range of conservation knowledge in weed and animal pest control, working with people, communication, project management, landscape level restoration, and spent the last six years looking after the wonderful Waituna Wetlands and Awarua Ramsar Site.

She really believes that the key to success is working together to achieve great environmental gains.

Sarah has always lived life by her old school motto Summa Petamus (We aim at the highest), and loves this quote by Robin Williams “You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it."
