The creek has a 2400 hectare catchment and is made up of extensive sheep and beef farms, dairy farms, market garden and horticultural areas and an ever expanding number of lifestyle blocks. Stoney Creek is Alastair's examplar catchment, and one he work's closely on with members of the community and combined agencies.
