Whangarei is the base for Jon Hampson, NZ Landcare Trust’s Regional Coordinator for Northland and Biodiversity Coordinator Ngaire Tyson. The region extends from the Far North down to Auckland and is one of the organisations most established offices.

Jon coordinates a significant biodiversity project funded by DOC, details of which are available on the project page. Both he and Ngaire provide ongoing advice and support to a number of vibrant landcare groups in the region.
