Otago

NZ Landcare Trust has a regional coordinator based in Otago working on a number of projects. Otago Regional Coordinator Craig Simpson works with local government and national agencies to identify opportunities for land and water quality-based projects, and also works with a growing number of land and water-based citizen groups who are keen to work towards a strong future for their local environments.

The Pomahaka cathment features strongly in the work carried out by the trust in the Otago region. Craig regularly holds events including forums, masterclasses and field days to help educate and inform people on the catchments around Otago; water monitoring and analyses; and plenty more.
