News Article:

The 'Northland Agricultural Field days' is due to take place 26-28th February in Dargaville. This is the second largest agricultural field days in New Zealand and is a key event in the Northland agricultural calendar. NZ Landcare Trust will be in attendance.

Some of the great work carried out by our 'landcare groups' will be featured on the Biodiversity Northland site (site 247). Posters and information will aim at encouraging more people to get actively involved in landcare activities.

NZ Landcare Trust plays a primary role in the newly formed 'Rural Support Trust - Northland'. This initiative is designed to help ensure rural communities can overcome extreme weather events. This work will be featured in another of our display areas.

Finally we will also highlight the work of Northland Farm Resilience. This display will be hosted in the 'Northland Agricultural Forum Pastoral Extension Marquee', on site 243.

If you can make it to the event, look out for our displays boards. If you would like to know more, have a chat with Helen Moodie or Ngaire Tyson. They can discuss our work in detail and let you know how you can get involved.
