New National Landcare Resource Kit

NZ Landcare Trust, in partnership with Transpower,  is developing a National Landcare Resource Kit aimed at helping farmers, landowners and community groups to tackle landcare issues. The kit will offer practical advice and guidance on a range of sustainable land, water and catchment management practices. In addition to pest control and biodiversity enhancement it will cover practical farm and land management issues, making a positive link between sustainability and economic benefit.

NZ Landcare Trust CEO, Dr. Nick Edgar states “Landcare is all about sustainable land management through community involvement. The National Landcare Resource Kit will offer useful information to help rural communities actively participate in sustainable land management activities.” Dr Edgar continues, “We are delighted to continue our work with Transpower and value their support of landcare in New Zealand.”

“Transpower is proud to be working in partnership with NZ Landcare Trust to deliver the National Landcare Resource Kit,” says Transpower General Manager Corporate Affairs Cynthia Brophy. “The kit will be a valuable resource for landowners and communities. Working in partnership provides a unique opportunity to promote landcare at a national level and to make a lasting difference locally.”
