NZ Landcare Trust is seeking to recruit a Communications Coordinator to join our head office team in Hamilton. We are looking for a 'people person' who exhibits strong communications, interpersonal and organisational skills. A person who is self-motivated, has excellent writing and editing skills, experience in journalism and an understanding of sustainable land and water management issues.

This person will have oversight of the Trust's website content, e-media and printed publications. They will follow the Trust's communications strategy and assist with preparing reports and getting key messages out to the farming, agri-business and environmental sectors.

NZ Landcare Trust works with farmers, landowners and community groups on sustainable land and water management projects. With eight regional offices spread around the country, the focus is very much on grassroots action, encouraging people to roll up their sleeves and make a difference where it matters most - on the ground.

This position is part-time (3 days per week) and based at the Trust's head office in Hamilton.  The Communications Coordinator will need to be able to travel within New Zealand to build relationships with the journalism sector and with the communications staff of our Trustee organisations.  We offer a great working environment with the support of an innovative team.
